1:1 Child-centred Play Therapy

These weekly 1:1 sessions are primarily child-led, meaning the child chooses how they explore the space and materials. I offer a safe and trusting environment for a child to work through their issues at their own pace. These sessions usually take place in a child's school or community setting or, where appropriate, their home.

I may gently integrate some structured activities to support specific needs, while always remaining guided by the individual child.

An initial block of 12–16 weekly sessions is generally recommended, as this allows sufficient time for trust to develop.

Parent & Caregiver Support

The parent-child relationship is foundational to healing. Regular review meetings every 6-8 weeks offer a supportive bridge, helping parents understand the themes emerging in their child's play. We reflect on progress and any challenges at home or school. We work collaboratively to develop empathetic strategies that strengthen family bonds and support the child’s progress at home.

Support begins with a free 20-minute consultation, giving us the opportunity to discuss your concerns and consider whether play therapy feels like the right fit for your child. If we decide to proceed, we can explore your concerns in more depth and discuss your child’s developmental history, relationships, and current circumstances in a 60 minute assessment meeting.

School support

Bridging the gap between therapy and the classroom ensures children feel supported throughout their day. I can meet with school staff to provide a reflective space, consultation and guidance on adapting learning environments that support a child to flourish.

With a background in teaching children with complex needs, I understand the complexities of neurodiversity and developmental differences, as well as the realities of school life. This enables me to work sensitively and effectively within educational settings, building trusting relationships with staff while keeping the child’s emotional safety and wellbeing at the heart of the work.

I can also provide training for teaching and support staff on playful strategies that promote social-emotional wellbeing within their educational setting.

Parents and carers

Sliding scale

Sessions are typically £70 per 50-minute session.

I am committed to widening access to therapy within the local community. For this reason, I offer a number of sliding-scale spaces, and wherever possible I aim to work with families based on clinical need and individual circumstances.

If cost is a concern, I warmly encourage you to get in touch — we can talk openly about what might be manageable and whether a reduced-fee space is available.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation for parents and carers. This is an opportunity to discuss your child’s needs, ask any questions, and explore whether play therapy — and my way of working — feels like the right fit for your family.

Please feel free to contact me to arrange a consultation or to discuss fees in more detail.
